Feldenkrais® after stroke in North Canterbury

A stroke can change the way you move, balance, coordinate your body or experience everyday activities. The effects are different for everyone, and finding an approach that feels right for you matters.

The Feldenkrais Method offers an individual way to explore movement and body awareness.

Through gentle, hands-on guidance, we pay attention to how you move and explore possibilities that may not have been easy to notice before.

At The Centered Room in North Canterbury, I offer individual Feldenkrais® sessions adapted to each person's abilities, needs and comfort.

Ask me about home visits.

Is Feldenkrais® a replacement for rehabilitation?

No. Feldenkrais® is an educational approach to movement and awareness. It is not a substitute for medical care or prescribed rehabilitation.

If you are receiving care from a doctor, physiotherapist or other health professional, Feldenkrais® can be explored as a complementary approach where appropriate.

I'm happy to discuss your circumstances with you and, with your permission, communicate with members of your healthcare team.
